There were too many new faces on the Rangers tonight for my liking.
This whole entire off season has seriously broken my heart, but the Angels-Josh Hamilton deal was the worst hit of them all. Josh has been my hero since I read his story in 2009. I looked up to him. I even wrote my college essay about him. He’s the person I think about when I feel like my problems are beating me down because despite all of his problems he never gave up. How the Rangers handled Josh Hamilton and his situations is part of the reasons why I fell back in love with baseball. I never gave up on Josh, even when it seemed like he kind of stopped caring at the end of the season and when everyone else was booing him. I stood up for him and yelled at all the people who dissed him. I mean let’s face it no one would have expected Josh to carry the team if he hadn’t hit 21 home runs in the first 2 months of baseball. He tried to keep up with everyone’s expectations of him, but that is probably one of the hardest things to do. I really wish we didn’t say goodbye to him like we did though. He never deserved that. With that last at bat I kind of expected him to not want to come back, but to go to the Rangers’ division rivals really hurts. He could have gone to any other team than the Angels (except for the Yankees). I wish him the best in Anaheim with the Angels and I hope he breaks more records and continues toward being the best. I also hope that if Josh falls off the wagon again and screws up that the Angels stand behind him 100% just like the Rangers did. Although I hope that type of situation never arises. But if it does come up and the Angels don’t stand behind him I will be pissed because they knew what the possibilities of that happening were with signing him.
Good luck Josh Hamilton! I guess this is good bye. Going to miss your little hand shakes with every one of your teammates you did before every game.
I miss seeing the Rangers play already and there are changes that are bound to happen to the regular lineup and we won’t for sure know until the next season.

This is going to be the longest offseason ever.
But like it’s been 3 days and I’m still feeling lost. I just don’t know what to do now that the 2012 season is over.(and that the Rangers aren’t in the postseason)

176 days until the first Rangers game of 2013!
Yes I am counting down in fact I’m using this app on my phone to do it.
Don’t judge me.
Was I the only one who wanted to punch all the Athletic “fans” in the face tonight?!

They need to put bloopers up more often.
